ノルウェーではもう一度ハイキングに行きました。天気と子供達と所要時間を考えて。。。私が選んだ場所はFlørlitrappene。Lysefjordの南側にあって、車ではそう簡単には行けない所にあります。元々は水力発電所だったところのようです。水が流れるパイプが山の斜面に沿って作られていて、そのパイプの横におそらくメンテナンス用なのか、小さな階段もついているのです。この水力発電施設はもう今は使われていないのですが、その小さな階段がハイキングコースとして使われているのですよ。ルートは山の斜面に沿って伸びています。
We had one more hiking day in Norway. Thinking about the weather, children, duration.... the location I chose was Flørlitrappene. It is located on the south side of the Lysefjord, which you cannot easily reach by car. It is a former water power plant. Water pipes were built on the slope of the mountain and next to the water pipe, small stairs were also built, probably for maintenance work for the pipe. The water power plant is not in use anymore, but the stairs are now used fas a trail for hikers. So the route goes through on the surface of the mountain.
総階段数は4444段。全部上り切れるだろうか（特に子供達）、だってこのコース一方通行。この階段、すごい小さくて急なので、一度登り始めたら引き返してはいけないことになっているのです。でもたまには子供達にも逃げ場のない、ちょっと厳しいことをさせるのも悪くはないのかも。とか、登り始めたら楽しくってもう嫌だ、とは言わないのではないだろうか。でもその日の天気も素晴らしいとは言えず、一度階段を登り始めたら雨宿りの場所も全くないのです。とりあえず幸運を願って強行することに。
The number of steps is 4444 in total. I wondered if we (especially the children) would be able to climb up all the way, because this is a one way route. Due to the narrow and steep stairs, once you started climbing up, you are not allowed to go back. But I thought it is also not bad for our children to try something hard without the option to escape and maybe the route will be entertaining and they will not say they want to stop. But the weather was not great on that day and when you are on the stairs, there is no place to shelter ourself from the rain. We hoped for good luck.

This is the picture from the ferry which crosses the fjord from north to south. Can you see the white line on the surface of the mountain? That is our route to climb up.
いざ、登り始めました。階段は写真のようにかなり狭いです。50だったか100段だったかごとに小さなタグがついていて何段登ったかがわかるようになっています。階段は山の表面にあるので、景色は常に最高！もちろん視界はかなりオープンなので、高所恐怖症のDropさんにはかなり辛いハイキングになりました。一部の階段はかなり急で、怖さと急さで写真撮るのが趣味なDropさん、絶景にも関わらず、ほとんど写真を撮れず。。
We started climbing. The stairs are pretty narrow like the picture below. Every 50 or 100 steps, there is a small tag showing the step number. Since the stairs are on the surface of the mountain, the view is always open and very beautiful. Of course because it is open, it is very scary for Drop who has a fear of heights. Some stairs were also very steep. By the fear and very steep stairs, Drop who has photography as his hobby could hardly take pictures while climbing.
頂上近くになると岩上を走るスロープになりました。下の右の写真の白い立札の場所がこのコースの最終地点。4444段、登り切ったぞ！天気はイマイチでしたが、雨に降られることもなく、無事到着することができました。
Close to the top, the stairs turned into slope, going through the rocky surface. The white board on the right picture is the end of the stairs. 4444 steps! We had accomplished it! It was not great weather but we could climb up without being rained upon.
山頂には大きな池が。山頂は広いのですが、どこにも風や雨から隠れる場所もなく、すごく寒かったし、天気も悪化してきているように見えました。頂上でランチを予定していたのですが、やむなく諦め、すぐに下山を始めることにしました。
There was a big pond on top of the mountain. The top was very open without any sheltering space, it was very cold and we were feeling that the weather was deteriorating. I was hoping to have lunch on top of the mountain, but we decided to start going down as quickly as possible.
下山は階段ではなく、歩行経路たどります。このコース、最高に美しかった。。360度ゴージャスな景色がずーっと続きます。
The route down is not by stairs, but by following walking path. The path was really really beautiful. 360 degree Impressive view all the time.

だいぶ降りてきたら、経路は森の中へ。大きな滝も見れました。
When we were going down further, we went into a forest. There was also a big waterfall.
出発してから約5時間、フェリー乗り場まで帰ってきました。Dropさんの高所恐怖症絡みの不満を除けば、皆、常に楽しみながら歩き切ったのではないでしょうか。下山の後、カフェでお茶をしていたら雨がどどーっと降ってきました。タイミングもバッチリ。
After about 5 hours, we could make it back to the ferry port. There had been some complaints from Drop who has a fear of heights, otherwise we could keep entertaining ourselves and enjoyed walking. After going down, while we were resting in a cafe, rain started pouring down. It was perfect timing.
このハイキングはかなり高評価。最後に一つ写真を貼っておきましょう。豪雨の中、DropさんがFjordに見つけた野生動物。
It was very nice hike. To end this piece, I can share one more picture. In the pouring rain, Drop spotted a wild creature in the fjord.
