オランダに来て9年、大概なことは経験してきた私ですが、今回初体験をさせてもらいました。それは・・・女子旅！
9 years have past since I moved to the Netherlands. I experienced quite some things but I could have a new experience. That was an all-female trip!
オランダに来てから、ここでの友達作りを頑張ってきました。でもオランダ語が苦手なため、オランダ人の友達は未だ1人もできず。。。でも代わりと言ってはなんですが、近所に住む日本人のよき友人ができました。そこで、今回家族を置いて女子旅に参加させてもらったのですよ。（Dropありがとう！）
After I came to the Netherlands, I worked hard to get friends here. Since my Dutch is bad, I couldn't get any Dutch friends but I got some nice Japanese friends living close by. So this time I could join a girl's trip leaving my husband and children behind. (Thank you Drop!)
旅はここ北オランダの25km範囲に住む女子４人で行きました。行き先はWadden海に浮かぶ島の一つ、Ameland、我々の住むFriesland州内です。この島、1年中を通してオランダやドイツ人に超人気のバケーション先なのです。私はこのAmelandに行くのは初めてでした。参加メンバーの1人がこのwadden海の島をすごく気に入っていて、その子のオススメに従ったと言うわけ。
We went with 4 females, all living in the north Netherlands within 25km distance. The destination we chose was one of the wadden lslands, Ameland, within the same province we all are living. The islands are very popular destination for Dutch and Germans throughout the year. It was the first time for me to go there but one of our trip members really likes it there, so we decided to follow her recommendation.
旅の全体印象は。。。めちゃめちゃ良かった！生憎お天気は”良かった！”とは言えなかったのですが、女子４人の旅、特にエンターテイメントは必要ではありません。どこか座るとこさえあれば、しゃべるしゃべる。。。際限無く。これがすごく楽しい！でもそれだけではないですよー。このAmeland（他のWadden海の島々も）、地形がすごく変わっていて楽しめるのです。そんなに大きな島ではないですが、ビーチあり、森あり、砂丘あり、湖あり、そしてもちろん小さな街もあります。この砂丘が平地の国
オランダに少し山風の景色を足してくれるのです。
And my impression of the overall trip was.... "Great"! The weather was not so great but the trip with 4 women does not need so much entertainment. If we have somewhere to sit, we can just talk..... endlessly. That was extremely fun. But not only that, the landscape of Ameland (actually all wadden islands) was really really good. It is not such a big island, but there are beaches, a forest, dunes, a lake and of course a small town. And the dunes make the ever-flat Netherlands slightly mountainous looking.

座ってしゃべるいない時はサイクリングも楽しみました。1日はものすごい風の強い日で、向かい風のものすごいタフなサイクリングも経験しましたよ。ま、これも旅の醍醐味。
The time we were not sitting and talking, we also enjoyed a bit of cycling. It was a very very windy day... we also had really tough time cycling back against the wind. But that is also one of the fun points of this trip.
もう一つの島の良いところはシーフード！オランダは海に面した国のくせに、みんなあまりシーフードを食べないのです。でもこの島じゃそのシーフードにありつける！
The one more great thing in this island trip was seafood! Although the Netherlands is located at seaside, people don't really eat nice seafood. But we can eat it on this island!

旅は２泊３日。時間はいくらあっても足りませんね。また近いうちにこんな旅を企画したいなぁ。
It was only two nights. The time was never enough. Maybe we can plan this kind of trip again in the near future!
