You can see banyan trees every where in Hawaii.
Banyan trees are originally from India.
In Hinduism, the leaf of banyan tree is said to
be the resting place for the God Krishna.
That's why the banyan tree is considered sacred
even in Hawaii too.
It is also symbolizing eternal life due to its
seemingly unending expansion.
In Hindu culture, the banyan tree is also called
kalpavriksha meaning 'wish fulfilling divine tree'.
