Love the Ocean..
The Sea of Japan seems so powerful.
To me, it almost seems as if the waves
that come from there are stronger than
those of the Pacific Ocean.![波](https://stat.ameba.jp/blog/ucs/img/char/char2/025.gif)

I went to this one beach where the sand sings.
The sound is created by the wind passing over
the dunes or simply just by walking on the sand,
but today the sand is silent.
There was a sign saying the sand doesn't sing today.

Regardless, we tried walking around on the sand a lot,
trying to get it to make some noise but what we
really discovered is that the sand does not sing
if there is trash mixed in with the sand!![ショック!](https://stat.ameba.jp/blog/ucs/img/char/char2/143.gif)
There were ashes from cigarettes and all
kinds of junk mixed in with the sand.

Mr. Moriyama of the Surf Rider Foundation Japan office
taught us this is one of the biggest problems we have.

There were these plastic balls that are used as a base
raw material for creating different kinds of plastic.
Apparently the materials are easier to ship in this form,
but they are also easier to lose track of and often
fall out of the shipping containers.
They end up in the ocean and the waves then carry
them to beaches all over the world.
Birds and fish try to eat these balls and they
end up dying because they can't digest it.
It's really hard to believe that these tiny
pieces of trash can harm us in so many large ways.

And look at this beach!![えっ](https://stat.ameba.jp/blog/ucs/img/char/char2/147.gif)
It's practically full of trash from all over the world.
In an unfunny way, this may be the most
international beach I have ever been to.
A lot of the trash here is from Korea and China too,
because of their close proximity and ocean currents.
I was really sad when I saw all this litter scattered
across such a lovely beach.![しょぼん](https://stat.ameba.jp/blog/ucs/img/char/char2/144.gif)

。![汗](https://stat.ameba.jp/blog/ucs/img/char/char2/028.gif)
We don't call nature 'Mother Nature' for no reason.
We are from this, from Mother Nature.
We have to respect and love her so our
next generation and all the generations to come
can continue to live in this wonderful place we call home.
Love is all we need...![ドキドキ](https://stat.ameba.jp/blog/ucs/img/char/char2/031.gif)
but don't forget to love the planet, too!![ニコニコ](https://stat.ameba.jp/blog/ucs/img/char/char2/139.gif)
