Subject: Thank you and costomer reference.

Hi Lisa, thank you for securing the number of bottles I requested. Next month is natural wine month and I will add these to the wine list. We'll see how it goes. I emailed you today because a friend of mine who runs a Sri Lankan restaurant chain wants to expand his natural wine range. If you would like, could you contact him directly to proceed? His contact details are as follows. I hope you can create a business relationship with Cassoon.
Regards,

Pascal

Dear Mr. Pereira,

I'm Ogawa Lisa in charge of wholesale marketing at WCS, a wine merchant. I was referred to you by Pascal Bernard of the restaurant Lafayette. I've heard from Pascal that you're looking to expand your list of natural wines. If there is anything we can assist you with or anything you with to discuss, WCS would be delighted to help. Would it be okay for me to visit your restaurant sometime next week? If you're comfortable, I prefer meeting in person rather than talking online. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Regards,
Lisa.

Hi Lisa san, thank you for contacting me. Frakly, I don't know much about WCS. But I talked to Pascal about natural wine, and he suggested you, someone he had great things to say about. How about next week? Preferably in Monday afternoon. The restaurant is closed on Mondays. So we can take our time.
Regards,
Cussin

If Lisa were to choose two characteristics of Japanese food, what does she say they would be? / what does she chose?

Thank you, Daniel. Hi everyone.

I'm please to have this opportunity to talk about Japanese food and wine. Please feel free to chip in if you have any questions or commnents. I want this session to be interactive. When you think of Japanese cuisine, shushi or tepan-yaki probably come to your mind first. But these dishes only scratch the surface. Japanese cuisine is diverse and offers a broad sensory experience. Now what wourds or phrases would you use to describe Japanese dishes?

-Seasonality

-Purity of expression and appearance
-Simplicity and emphasis on presentation.

-Freshness.

-Thank you. They're all to the point. If I were asked to narrow it down to two things, I'd probably go for simplicity and freshness. Many dishes are simple and they focus on the freshness of the ingredients.

  • These dishes only scratch the surface.
  • We should find a root cause instead of scratching the surface.
  • I think we are only scratching the surface of the issue.

This analysis is superficial. We should go deeper than that.

ラジオビジネス英語 Interview(3-7)9月22日(金)

I find it helpful to note down the key points of what the other person says to help me remember words and phrases.

I think being able to speak requires a different form of practice, but what methods do you consider effective?

----

What does Miss Kakuchi consider most important when learning a new language?

-She thinks listening is the most important thing.

What should we do if we meet somebody interesting?

-We should take notes on the key points they make.

---

Finally, you've written so manuy articles in English. What advice would you give to our listerners on how to learn English or regional languages?

-I useally say to my children as well is to be able to listen. Listening is the most important thing when you learn a new language. And you know, I as a child spoke threee languages because Sri Lanka we have three official languages. And I couldn't even read and wirte at that time, you know, but I learned all through listening. So to be able to listen, I know in Japan it's kind of difficult to hear different languages all the time. So how about listening to English tapes a lot? You know, all the time just put your earphones on when you wash the dishes or when you are in the train. Not to read so much, but listen because I think the ear is very imprtant. So listening is I think I would suggest as one very important way of learning another language and also to take memo not to wite a lot, but just take points. So if you meet somebody interesting and you can just take a few points on what they're saying and then you look later on, later at the points and then add to those ponints. So that also makes you learn a language faster, I think, and try to meet as many people as you can.
-Right. So listening is vital in learning a language. I hope our lsterners will listen to your interview many many times.
Well, SuvendriniKakuchi, thank you very much for joinning me on this program.

-Thank you for having me.

official language

An official language or official languages of a country are the languages that are officially accepted, used in supported by a country's government. Miss Kaguchi mentioned that Sri Lanka has three official languages, they include Shinhaha and Tamil with English as a recognized language. Sometimes the official languages of the contry may be surprising. Canada's official language are both English and French. The United States does not actually have an official language. New Zealand has three, English and Maori and New Zealand sign language. Bolivia holds the record as the country with the most official languages. Although Spanish is the primary language the contry recognizes 37 official languages in total.

vital

Crucial, necessary for something, essential. Miss Kaguchi said that listening is viatal for language learning. Meaning that listening is extremely important if you want to learn a language.
