From your personal point of view, what it the diffinition of journalist?
-A journalist is somebody that reports what's happing on the ground. And the journalist has to be fair in their reporting. So they must be able to put both sides' of the story and be able to give information to the reader or the listener so that they can make their own judgement. Of course things have changed now. In socila media everybody is putting their own view and it's not very balanced. But as real jernalists, as the jernalist's work, is to be able to inform others about somthing that happning on the groun so that lthe istener or the reader gets new knowledge and be able to advance their own knowledge and take actions for the better of their society. So I tried to look for news in Japan, for example if there's a some new law, I try to interpret that law in what it means to the Japanese people, what it means for Japan in general. You know so far example when Japan past the gender equality law, what does it mean for Japanese, workers, or for companies. This kind of thing is what the jernalist does.
-Um.. so balanced approach, neutrality and implications. You're acting as a foreign correspondent. What is the job for.. of a foregin corespondant, or what is the difinition of foregin correspondent?
-Foregin correspondent is supposed to report. Foreign means you are sent to a contry and then you have to report that news from that contry back to your home country. So that is the work of the foregin correspondent bacically. Very simple. You have to interpret that country you are in to your own local audience.
