Counter blessings of Covid-19
1
Covod-19 caused havoc in everybody's life.
Unvisible virus brought sociely to stand still. And old rules were thrown out as we scramble to learn how to comunicate remotely and juggle the responsibilities of home and work. People lost loved ones fpr pandemic. Many people got sick and they're still suffering from symptoms as known ..Covid. And yet at the same time the pandemic has taught us a lot. We may emerge from this ordeal more capable and better prepeared for the future.
I take your point. One thing that we will have profound vocation for future generations is the incredible advances in messenger RNA or MRNA biotechnologies.
Right. We've got vacines in a record time. In less than a year. When normaly it would take several years. Even drug makers were surprised by how quickly vaccines were developed and destributed. Now a host of possibility has sprang up.
Scientists, government and drug companies are all asking what else can MRNA do. Reserchers are developing tools for using it to fight the flu, cancer, HIV and other diseases. But challenges remain.
Many scientist believe MRNA could be the basis for new generation of vaccines and drugs against vacteria, pathogens, parasites and allergic conditions.
Clinical tryals for MRNA products and other viruses are under way. We may soon have vaccines for many other diseases that have eluded our grasp.
