🦕A Dinosaur Park Closing Its Doors — But Not Without a Roar
In Overpeck County Park, New Jersey, the interactive dinosaur theme park Field Station: Dinosaurs has announced that it will close on November 9, 2025.
The decision came due to financial challenges and the expiration of its lease.
For about 14 years, the park welcomed more than one million visitors, offering a unique mix of science and entertainment. With life-size moving dinosaurs, exciting fossil dig activities, and live shows, it became a beloved place for families and dinosaur fans alike.

What’s catching everyone’s attention now is the sale of the park’s famous animatronic dinosaurs.
Over 25 life-size dinosaur models — including Velociraptors, Triceratops, and a massive 12-meter-long T. rex — have been listed on Facebook Marketplace.
Prices range from around $500 to $3,500 USD (about ¥76,000 to ¥530,000), depending on size and condition. Buyers must arrange for their own dismantling and transportation, which means only truly dedicated dino-lovers should apply!
Even so, the listings went viral almost instantly, and the park received so many inquiries that the staff had to pause responses temporarily.

閉園を前に注目を集めているのが、
園内で展示されていたアニマトロニクス
（動く恐竜模型）の販売です。
Facebookマーケットプレイスに出品されたのは、
ヴェロキラプトルやトリケラトプス、
そして全長12メートルのティラノサウルスまで、
25体を超える恐竜たちです。
価格は約7万円台から53万円ほどで、
状態は「良品」「使用済み」などさまざま。
購入者は自分で解体と輸送を
手配する必要があるため、
まさに“本気の恐竜愛”が求められます。
それでも出品直後から問い合わせが殺到し、
対応が追いつかないほどの人気ぶりだそうです。

Park owner Guy Gsell said that closing the park was a difficult decision but emphasized his plan to continue educational programs through traveling exhibits and dinosaur-themed classes.
These dinosaurs, which have inspired wonder and curiosity in countless children, will soon be heading to new homes — hopefully to be cherished and admired just as before.
