もういよいよ、
敏腕警察官が必要ではなくなる時代も
やってくるのかもしれません。
というのも、
イギリスの南西部
サウス・グロスターシャーにある
エイボン・サマーセット警察で
81年かかる捜査を
30時間でこなしてしまう
AI刑事を試験導入したのです。
このAI刑事がいれば、
迷宮入りした数々の難事件を
解決することができそうですよね、、、。
このAI刑事は
オーストラリアで開発された「soze」という
AIツールなのだそうですが、
映像・金融取引・SNS・電子メールなど
さまざまな資料を
同時分析することができるんだって。
ちなみに中国では、
97％の精度で犯罪を見抜く
AI検察官がすでに活躍しています。

AIと人間の力で犯罪をゼロに？！
Stories about brilliant detectives exist in every country, right? Haha. But these days, it’s all about information warfare. To uncover crimes from the massive amount of data on the internet, sometimes it’s actually better if humans aren’t involved in the investigation. That’s where AI detectives are stepping in, like in China, and more recently, in the UK.

そこで中国や最近では
イギリスがAI刑事が活躍しているんです。
The key reason for introducing AI in the first place was the lack of police officers in the UK. For example, Mark Rowley, the Commissioner of the London Metropolitan Police, has said that the number of detectives working on unsolved murder cases is decreasing, and that there’s a “dangerous shortage” of staff.
そもそもAI導入の決め手となったのは、
英国警察の人手不足でした。
たとえばロンドン警視庁の
マーク・ロウリー警視総監は
未解決の殺人事件を担当する捜査官が減っていて、
「危険なほど人手不足」であると
発信しています。
With the introduction of AI officers, police can now focus more on investigations and emergency responses, and it’s said to be worth as much as £350 million (about 67 billion yen). As long as AI officers don’t go beyond what the public is comfortable with, investigations could become more efficient than ever. Maybe we’ll see AI detectives in Japan someday too!
AI警察官が導入されたことで、
警察官はより捜査や緊急対応に
集中できるようになり、
その効果は3億5000万ポンド
（約670億円）にも匹敵するのだそう。
AI警察官が国民に受け入れられる
範囲を超えさなければ、
今まで以上に効率的な捜査ができるのだそう。
