“Sumer” and ”Sumerian” remained in my memory when I read abour “ the sacred prostitute” in an article written by a Japanese clinical psychologist, Kyoko Takaishi.
Her article referred to the book titled “Sacred Prostitute” written by a Jungian analyst, Nancy Qualls‐Corbett.
It is assumed, I think, that, in ancient Sumerian civilization, they respect what is called “sexuality” as the way it is.
(The reason why I explored these areas is that I had had hard times when I was young as I realized I am “homosexual”.)
As I continued reading books written about sexuality from a “spiritual” viewpoint, I encountered a book “The Code of Tao” written by Mr. Chiga. The book is so exiting and inspiring!
And I went on to read Mr. Chiga’s other books such as “The Law of Tao”, which is also shocking yet so convincing. In “The Law of Tao”, there is an extensive reference to the ancient Sumerian and also to what seems to be the “sacred prostitute”.
What Mr. Chiga writes here about “sexuality” may be misunderstood by many people who are prejudiced by modern way of thinking toward “sexuality”.
What I hope is that the level of the collective consciousness of the human kind will be more ascended and the human being will be able to appreciate what is called “sexuality” as the way it is.
It is written somewhere that “Sumer” has something to do with “Sumera 皇（すめら）” meaning “the Emperor” in Japanese. I think it so interesting, too!
最初に、「シュメール」が記憶にインプットされたのは、「聖娼」というものを知ったとき。
高石恭子さんという心理臨床家が書かれた論文を目にしてから。
タイトル自体が『聖娼』という本も、クォールズ・コルベットという人が書いている。
古代シュメール文明では、「性」に対して、「いかがわしい」というような形容を与えて、「性」という存在を貶めることはなかったのではないかと推測される。
「性」は、ありのままの姿でrespectされていたのだろう。
（ちなみに、私が、このへんの事柄を探索していった背景には、私が若い頃に「同性愛者」であることに悩んでいた、という事実がある。）
その後、「性」について「スピリチュアル」な観点から書かれた本を読んでいるうちに、千賀さんの『タオ・コード』に出会った。→とてもエキサイティング＆インスパイアリングな内容に、読んでいてワクワクした。
自然、同じ千賀さんの『ガイアの法則』も読むに至った。→衝撃的な内容だった。説得力があった。→ここにも「シュメール」が出てきて、へぇーと思った。
『ガイアの法則』の続編では、「性」について、より、さらに「シュメール」の聖娼に通ずる事柄が書いてあった。
『ガイアの法則』の続編に書かれている「性」に関することは、「現代」の、「先進国」の、「３次元」の「常識」からすると、容易に誤解されやすい内容かもしれないと思う。次元の違い故に、歪曲して受け取られやすい内容だと思う。
→人類の意識レベルがより上昇して、ここに書かれてあることを、そのまま（本当に「そのまま」という意味で）理解できるようになればよいな、と思う。
「シュメール」は「皇（すめら）」に相通じる、ともどこかに書いてあった。
面白いな、と思う。
