こんにちは、小野有人です。7月3日に3回目のZOOMミーディングが行われたため、報告させていただきます。今回はアラン＝ムラバヤシさんに、SGLIプロジェクトの概要とご自身の体験談について話していただきました。後半の少人数会議は、学校の授業に参加したため同席できませんでした。
プナホ高校で数々の研究プロジェクトを行いイェール大学で音楽の博士号を獲得したアランさんは、学校プロジェクトが半分失敗するほど難しいこと、成功させるための注意点について語ってくれました。まずプロジェクトは教育、行動の変化、物理的なオブジェクトに三分されます。そして成功を促すために書かれた目標、マイルストーン、時間配分の計画、そして成功基準が必須だと教えてくださいました。しかし資金と時間が限られており、人々の思考を変化させることの難しさから、良いアイディアも成功するとは限らないと学びました。
アランさんはポジティブで明るい方ですが、多くの失敗を乗り越えてきた思慮深い方でもあります。彼のアドバイスに従い、3人でプロジェクトに取り組もうと思いました。
Hello, this is Aruto Ono. We would like to inform you that the third ZOOM meeting was held on July 3rd. This time, Mr. Murabayashi talked about the outline of the SGLI project and his own experiences. We couldn't attend the small group meeting in the second half because school was starting.
Mr. Murabayashi, who has done a number of research projects at Punahou High School and earned a PhD in music from Yale University, talked about how difficult a school project is, and half of them fail. He also gave us a lot of advice. First, the project is divided into education, behavioral changes, and physical objects. He told us that written goals, milestones, time allocation plans, and success criteria are essential to drive success. However, I learned that good ideas are not always successful due to limited funding and time, and the difficulty of changing people's thinking.
Mr. Murabayashi is a positive and cheerful person, but he is also a thoughtful person who has overcome many mistakes. Following his advice, we hope to succeed in our projects.
