After my crash I've been busy going to hospital for rehabilitation and watching loads of foriegn movies and dramas.

This morning at around 10:50ish I had an accident on my bikeあせる

I was riding down Nisseki dori heading towards Tenjin and I came to the lights in front of Nisseki hospital病院信号機

There was a car coming from the opposite direction stopped at the lights waiting to turn right into the hospital.

The lights were green and I didn't expect the car to turn and cross the road in front of me, but it did!

I couldn't stop and so I hit the back left side of their carむかっ

And I flew off my bike and rolledアップ

Here's what the car looks like!

I have a graze on my right hand.

I landed on my shoulder so I'll get it checked out at the hospital.

After the crash the police came and they found that it wasn't my fault and I also had a witness to prove it.

Now I'm at a hospital to get checked out 病院

My bike needs a few repairs as you can see汗

I just wanted to share one of my pet hates with you!

Why oh why do Japanese guys feel the need to carry their girlfriends' handbags?!? In the West, this would be unthinkable and extremely embarrassing, but in Japan it seems the "masculine"/"manly" thing to do.

I know Japanese guys have had a hard time because they are often compared to western guys, who are brought up with the ladies-first mentality. But who taught them to do this?! Maybe a Japanese girl started this off by tricking her boyfriend into carrying her bag for her by telling him that all guys do that in Europe, or something!

Another pet peeve is Japan's obsession with expensive brands! If you walk in Tenjin, loads and loads of girls have expensive brand bags, therefore negating the feeling of supiority that they are supposed to feel by owning one of these "exclusive" brands.

With "gyarus", hostesses, and girls with dodgy evening jobs all owning these brands, is it really that attractive to own a Louis Vitton bag?

I'm really curious to hear what you all think! I'm really glad that most of my students don't have an LV brand bag!! If you do love your LV bag, please defend your cause and explain it to me!

By the way, if I were interested in such brands, which I'm not, I would opt for something which is more discrete and doesn't have the brands logo plastered all over it!
