The Saturday before last I went to my friend's son and daughter's sports day. They go to Takagi Elementary School in Ijiri and it was a new experience for me as it was the first time for me to go to a sports day in Japan.
To be honest, I can't remember much about sports days in England, but what I do remember, they aren't as big and fancy as they are here.
All the families were sitting on mats and picnic blankets under tents around the track, but as I don't like sitting on the ground so much I sat on a chair in the sun and got sunburnt

Both Ryu and Hikari did well in their races and I had a good time watching/cheering them on
