例1：テレビを買いに来たテルマとエミリー。
エミリー：We’re definitely getting the big TV, right?
テルマ：I was going to say we should get the smaller one.
例2：テルマとミャオが一緒に住んでるとして
テルマ：Let’s eat at home tonight.
ミャオ：Actually, I was going to say we should go out for dinner.
例3：緑のTシャツを選んだテルマは、買い物に付き合っている洸人に：
The green one is definitely best, right?
洸人：I was going to say I like the red one.
②「だよね！」と同感するときのI was going to say.
テルマさん曰く、こちらの方がよく使う
東野先生：I was going to say. はI was going to say (the same thing).
「同じことを言おうとしてた」の後半を省略したものと考えられる。
居酒屋に入るとA：It’s so noisy in here!
B：I was going to say!
東野先生：「その英語は 日本語だとこれだよね」とわかる感覚もとっても大事。
