今日はラスティ・ブライアントのアルバムを紹介します。
彼はウェストバージニア州出身、オハイオ州で育ったテナー＆アルトサックス奏者、
コンポーザーです。
バップから始まった古い人ですが60年代後半からソウルジャズをメインに
演奏します。
リチャード・グルーヴ・ホームズ、ジョニー・ハモンド・スミス、
アイヴァン・ブーガルー・ジョー・ジョーンズなどのアルバムには
サイドマンとして参加しています。
リーダーアルバムは20枚ほどリリースしており、
今回紹介のアルバムは正にソウルジャズ（ファンキー）な作品です。
