Good evening!
今月末に、実家の母のお誕生日があります
My mom's BD is coming up at the end of this month.
本当なら一緒に過ごしたいのですが、当日は、母が書道関連で忙しいとのことで、お互い落ち着いたら、別の日にLunchにでも行くことになりました。
I wanted to spend the day together but my mom said she would be busy with her work at Shodo (Japanese Calligraphy) on her BD so we've decided to meet up for lunch when she has time on other date.
それで、お誕生日当日に届くように、コチラ
のカタログギフトを送りました。
So I arranged to have below catalogue gift delivered on her BD.
それと、お誕生日とは別件ですが、７月２４日が土用の丑の日なので、両親と、二世帯住宅で両親と住んでいる弟家族にウナギを送りました。
On a separate note, July 24th is "Doyou no Ushi no Hi" (Or "Unagi/Eel Day") so I also arranged to have below Unagi delivered to my parents' place for my parents and my brother's family who lives together with my parents in multi generational house.
喜んでもらえたら、私も嬉しいです
I am happy if they like my gift.
両親には、育ててもらったご恩を返したくても、返しきれないほどお世話になっているので、2人が元気でいてくれるうちに、できる限り色々なことをして恩返ししたいのと、自分の子供と孫には、私が受けた愛情以上のことをしていきます
I have given so much things from my parents and I don't think I can ever return my gratitudes to them enough, but I'd like to give them as much as I can while my parents are still in good health. Moreover, I will give whatever I can to my son and grandchildren.
母のお誕生日ギフトを選んでいたら、主人が
「私も払いたい」
と言ってくれて、ウナギもカタログギフトも半分払ってくれるそうです

主人は、自分のことは質素倹約に努めているのに、家族と友人にはケチをしない人なので、ありがたいし、心から尊敬してます
When I was looking at my mom's BD gift, my husband said
"I want to be part of the gift"
so he will pay half of the Unagi and the catalogue gift.(Obrigada!!!)
My hubby is very humble, and he does not spend much for himself, but he is never stingy for our families nor our friends, so I am very thankful for that, and I highly respect him.
息子（１６歳）の期末テストが終わって、学校は、ほぼほぼお休みの毎日です
美味しいご飯を、毎日5人分頑張って作ります
新しいmenuも開拓しなくては。。。
My son (16 years old) has finished his end of term exams, and he is off from school these days.
I will try my best in cooking tasty foods for 5 people everyday! I will have to find new menu as well....
