仕事納めだった昨日、帰宅してみると、38度の熱がある息子(11歳)が待っていました
It was my last day at work for the year 2018 yesterday and my son(11 years old) with 38C fever was waiting for my return.
主人が、
「明日朝、熱が下がらなかったら、病院に行こうね」
と言ってくれて、今朝も息子の熱は37.7度と微妙だったため、主人の運転する車で、唯一、近くで空いていたお医者様へ
My husband kindly said to us,
“If your fever did not go down tomorrow morning, please let us visit a doctor.”
So we went to a hospital by carfirst thing in the morning today as his fever was 37.7C and we weren’t sure what this was. Luckily we had this hospital near by which was open on Saturdays and other hospitals were closed today as it was year end.

「インフルエンザのA型ですね」
とのこと
We had the flu check and the doctor said,
“This is influenza type A.”
息子は生まれて初めてのインフルエンザです
It was our son’s first time in his life to get a flu.
今日はアメリカのお友達と家族でdinnerの約束があったのですが、泣く泣くキャンセルでもまたすぐ会えるし、こういうことがあると、毎回、
でもまたすぐ会えるし、こういうことがあると、毎回、「元気でいてくれるだけで、ありがたいことなんだなあ」って気がつけるから、息子と、あたたかい家でのんびり年末を過ごすことにします
