スティーブ・ジョブズの有名なスタンフォード大学での卒業式での祝辞の一文です。
“So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something — your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life. Because believing the dots will connect down the road, it gives you confidence to follow your heart; even it leads you off the well-worn path. And that will make all the difference.”
だから将来、どうにかして点と点が繋がると信じなければなりません。根性、運命、人生、カルマ（業）、何であれ信じなければないのです。点と点がいつか繋がると信じているからこそ、自分の心に正直になれるのです。たとえそれが常識外れの道だとしても、それが（他の人との）違いになるのです。
