My name is tiramisu, and I'm into
indigo dyeing now.
今日は、「帽子絞り
」について。
以前から やってみたかった絞りのうちの１つなんです。
やっと、チャレンジする事が出来ました
Boshi shibori was one of the techniques
which I'd always wanted to try.
Finally, I had a chance to try it!
きゅっと糸を絞るときに
帽子みたいになるから、「帽子絞り」と言う名前なのかな～？
そういえば、
子供のころ
お風呂に入っていた時、
タオルを湯船につけて風船作っていたなぁ・・・
どちらかというと、そのタオル風船にそっくり
なんて、小さかったころを
思い出しながら、作りました。
Boshi means a cap or a hat.
After stitching a circle, the thread is pulled up.
Then the fabric becomes like a cap shape.
I think it looks like a balloon shape to me, though.
でも、この絞り、
思っていたより 難しかった～
防染する部分を
ビニールで巻く作業に
手間取ってしまいました
。
This technique was quite difficult than I had expected.
A piece of vinyl are used to make a resisted area
and
it was very very tricky.
初めての技に、
仕上がりがとても不安でしたが、
大きな失敗が無く
無難にできて、ほっとしました
。
It was the first experiment, so I was very nervous until I saw the result.
I was glad my hard wark had paid off!
藍色と白のさかいににじみができて、
ぼんやり～とした感じが
立体的になって 浮かび上がっています。
I like the gentle blur effect like water color paintings
and
blurring gives me more sense of the depth.
日傘に施した帽子絞り
。
日傘をさして見上げると、
やさしい水玉模様
そして、
ふわっと、雪が舞っているような感じに・・・見えます
When I open the parasol and looked up it,
polka dots look like dancing or like snowing.
本藍染矢野工場で、
１７回染めました
。
いい色に仕上がっています
。
I dyed it 17 times at Hon Aizome Yano Kojo, and
the indigo color is beautiful as usual.
染めたばかりなので
灰汁や不純物が混ざった色がついています。
洗うともっと色が冴えます。
11月の展示会用に作成しました。
早くみんなに見せたいな～
。
This color contains unnecessary color, so I need to wash it.
After that, the color will be more clear and beautiful.
This indigo dyed parasol is for an exhibition in Novenber.
I d love to show it to everyone.
