My name is tiramisu, and I'm into
indigo dyeing now.
今日は、土曜日に行った
有松祭りについて。
「有松絞り」は、
名古屋にある有松町で
江戸時代からの伝統を受け継いでいる
絞りです。
Today's topic is "Arimatsu shibori festibal."
I went the festival last Saturday.
Arimatsu shibori is one of Japanese traditional tie-dye techniques which
has been taking over in Arimatsu town in Nagoya
since the Edo period.
印象的だったのは、
絞りの括り技法の
デモンストレーション
目の前で、
巧みな手さばきで、
どんどん仕上げていく様子に、
どんどん引き込まれてしまいました
。
The most impressive thing was the
demonstration by local artisans.
Their skillful hands movements were stunning,
and
I felt drawn toward it.
そして女たちは
手を動かしながらも、
笑顔で
私たち観光客に
丁寧に説明もしてくれる余裕も
They not only manipulated their fingers
but also explained about the shibori at the same time
with a smile.
体験コーナーもいくつかあり、
わたしは、
「手蜘蛛絞り」にチャレンジしました。
私の好きな
「巻き上げ絞り」と似た感じでした。
There were several shiabori workshops for the visitors.
I tried "te-kumo-shibori which is similar to makiage-shibori.
集まる観光客も
「有松絞」や「絞り」、「染め」などに興味がある人々なので、
そんな人たちの服装を
眺めるのも、楽しかったです
。
素晴らしかったのは、
インドネシアから来たグループ。
彼女は韓国のチマチョゴリを
藍染めの布で自分で作ったそうです
。
こんな人たちとは、
もっと、お話をきいてみたかったな。
Since almost all the visitors were interested in arimatsu shibori,
I enjoyed their outfits.
Some wore yukata with arimatsu shibori, and
some wore indigo dyed clothes.
I met a group of Indonesian people and one of them wore
indigo dyed hanbok.
She said it was made it by herself!
I wanted to talk with them more!
