My name is tiramisu, and I'm into
indigo dyeing now.
美しい色のグラテーション
白い布から青へ
A beautiful color gradation
from
pure white clothe chances its color
from white to blue
先週、
とってもラッキーで
白の反物を藍染めにするところを
見学する機会に恵まれました
。
Last week
I was very lucky to have opportunity to see
a white roll of cloth for kimono be dyed indigo blue.
私が日傘
などを染める2日目、
染師である矢野藍秀先生が
反物を
藍に染めたのです
。
On the second day for dyeing my parasol and others,
my indigo dyeing master, Mr. Ranshu Yano,
dyed the fabric at the same studio.
真っ白だった布は、
染め液に浸され
その後、
機械で脱水、
酸化されていきます
。
The pure white color was dipped into the indigo dyeing liquid.
Next it was dehydrated by a machine from the edge,
and then
it was exposed to the air to get oxdized
脱水された布の色が
深い緑色から
青色に変わっていく変化は
息をのむすばらしさです
。
今回初めて見たので、
とても感動しました！
It was stunning to see the color changing
from dark green to blue
in fronto of me.
It was the first time to see it, so
It was absolutely breathtaking.
