Thank you for visiting my blog.
My name is tiramisu, and I'm into
indigo dyeing now.
It is December 12th today.
It was chilly outside.
When I lived in Tohoku area,
the tap water was very cold, but here in Yokohama
the water is not so cold.
So I don't mind washing dishes.
By the way,
a water erasable marking pen is used
for drawing on a fabric for shibori.
It is called "Ao bana pen" in Japanese, which means blue flower pen.
The blue pen is washable.
Why is it called blue flower pen?
I was very curious about the reason, so
I looked into it on the internet.

The origin of the name came from asiatic dayflower
which has lovely blue flowers.
They can be seen everywhere in Japan.
The blue dye from these flowers were used
to draw a design on a fabric for kimono because it is washable.
This information is offered from a blogger above.
Thank you for letting me know!
I want to make the blue dye from the dayflower, so
I will make it next year!.
