Rising Effects — 曲導（きょくどう）
Small, additional fireworks that are attached to the exterior of large display shells, igniting during ascent. These rising effects can produce light, sound or smoke while opening consecutively on either side of the shell, or leaving long tails. Due to the amount of labour required and costs involved, it is rare to see them outside of competitions. Also known as attachments.

煙火玉の外側に取り付ける小型の花火で、玉が上昇途中に開花するもの。光、音、煙などを発し、花火玉の両側から連続で開いたり、尾を残したりします。制作に手間やお金が非常にかかることにより、競技大会以外に見かけるのは珍しい。「attachments」とも呼ばれている。
