Beijing Zoo 动物园

The zoo ... I think Singapore zoo is better! The animals
in Beijing zoo are not very clean! The panda is brown
and black!! ∑ヾ(￣0￣;ﾉ And the enclosures are dirty ...
Sometimes, the glass is so scratched and dirty that you
cannot really see the animals clearly inside. I also noticed
that many of the enclosures have broken glass windows,
most probably because the Chinese tend to bang on the
glass to get the animals to look at them. In the Beijing zoo,
there are too few animals and too many humans (((゜д゜;)))

The PANDA. Everyone wanted to see this. You have NO IDEA
how hard it was to get this photo. I had to use what I had learnt
in 3 weeks here of pushing in order to get to the front to
snap this. Both kids and parents are so annoying!!!


Another panda. This little guy is dirtier than the 1st.

the WOLF. people were even throwing random bits of food
into their enclosure?! ゛(｀ヘ´#) they are feeding them rubbish!!
in order to get them to come closer to take a photo.

Fairy Valley 桃源仙谷

Today, we went to Fairy Valley which is considered to
be in the rural areas (I guess). You could tell it was 'rural'.
The air was SO MUCH fresher and there was no
pollution, as compared to the city air we are used to.

It is a mountain area with many beautiful rock faces
and cliffs. The weather was great ~ it was sunny!!
It is the first time in weeks since I've felt the sun on
my skin! There is a beautiful waterfall there ~
which is 66metres high.

Fragrant Hills 香山

Ruiling & I are off together today γ(▽´ )ﾂヾ( ｀▽)ゞ
We decided to go to Xiangshan to see some maple leaves!!
Since we dont know how to get there, we took a taxi,
which cost us 80RMB haha! A bit ex but what to do,
since the place is at the outskirts!!

Xiangshan is basically a scenic natural site which
is hilly, mountaineous. The air is definitely FRESHER
than in the city and when we breathe out, we can make
those smoke cloud thingies with our breath whee!!!!

At the base, there's lots of Chinese houses like this:


As we got further up, we saw a shop selling food!
& decided it would be nice to eat something hot ~
since its so cold!! We ordered 25 dumplings for
3sgd hahah!


And we climbed and climbed and climbed
up & up & up & up the steps (￣Д￣；；
For the first time since I've been here, I sweated!!
It was very good exercise! Its totally stair climbing!

Sadly, Ruiling & I never got to the top.
We had planned to take the cable car down
from the peak, but it was not working due to the rain
SO DISAPPOINTING!
I'll come back another time to climb all the way to the
top AND take the cable car down!!! （;´▽｀`)

Food food food

I went to WangFuJing district, which is like some orchard road
to them lah. There's tons of upmarket department stores
and also this food street:

And this street sells things like fried scorpion and seahorse.
These things are alive man ... when you order them,
the guy takes the wriggling things which are on a stick
and plops them into the oil to cook. YUCKS (￣＊￣ )


And during dinner, we found ... AN INDIAN MAN hahah!
He was selling prata at Food Republic!!!
Prata is called erm 'flying cake' .... and curry is not free


AND TODAY ... ( ￣っ￣)
I had macdonalds breakfast. Eh the picture speaks for itself.

I had 2 pancakes with the sausage patty ...

Fried Rice & Internet

Today, there is no more internet connection
at the dorm. The router has disappeared.
( ﾟ-ﾟ)( ﾟﾛﾟ)(( ﾛﾟ)ﾟ(((　ﾛ)~ﾟ ﾟ
I am at some place called 南粥北面, which translates
to Northern Congee Southern Noodles.
It is a fast food chain which surprisingly has an
internet connection (b^-゜)
The speed is really good! I loaded so many youtube
videos YAY!!!
