Coffee Houses & Internet

I've become quite a regular customer of coffee houses near
the dorm haha, due to their internet access. Both are very
very near my dorm (thankfully).

SPR COFFEE
Serves nice sandwiches, coffee and tea. The place looks a lot
like starbucks, with their green logo and decor.

They serve floral tea in glassware ~ so shiny!


& this is a Caramel Latte! The cup is humongous. For some
reason, I got a free upgrade to the large cup. I think its a
certain day special or something haha!


COFFEE BREAK
I had english breakfast with xiaohan today. THIS IS RARE FOOD!
we seldom get to see this kind of food here (´□｀｡)
Everything tasted really good and there was toasted bread!!!


We ordered an ice mocha too! The straws are twisted so nicely!
What irked me was the colors ... they had to choose the two
colors i dislike the most. its both pink AND purple (-。－；)

Temple of Heaven 天塔

。(´д｀lll) We were feeling broke that day, so we bought the
admission tickets of 15RMB, which allows us entry into the park
but not into the attractions like the Temple of Heaven and
other temples in the park. That would have cost us 35RMB!

The park is filled with many old trees and it is very very
green. The air is fresh as smoking is not permitted in the
park! Of course, there are still some who ignore this rule
゛(｀ヘ´#) There are also bunches of old people scattered around
the park ~ they gather in groups and sing together. There are
also some flute players here and there.

Doesn't seem like China right? Feels as if we went to some
countryside ~


The whole park has many of these old trees. Their trunks are
thick and have different hues of brown all over them.

Beihai Park 北海公园

Beihai park is filled with temples. There's so many of them
everywhere. And theres a huge lake in the middle of the whole
park. We rented a pedal boat ~ it was rather tiring haha!
It took a lot of effort to get the boat moving 。・ﾟﾟ･(≧д≦)･ﾟﾟ･｡

In a section of the park, there are water buckets with big fat
sponge brushes. Anyone can take the brush and practice their
calligraphy on the stone ground. Look at how nice this man
does it Y(＞_＜、)Y It looks PRINTED!!


China is full of steps. This place is no exception haha.
These lead to the highest point in the park~ the white tower.

More FOOD

Famous Fried Dough
This is one of the street food. It seems to be very popular
and the queue is long. I have no idea what the name means.
It is a fried dough like thing, similar to Roti Prata with spices
on top.

Another popular street snack!! My friend yoyo ate it.

SHABU SHABU
There's a chain of restaurants called Shabu Shabu.
You order one or two soup bases and pick whatever
ingredients you want. Its like steamboat yummyyy!!
And its rather healthy ~ I had MANY mushrooms and
beef!


Apples?
Wahaha we bought some apples from Fairy Valley and
boy are they small!!!


Baskin Robbins
They have it here! BUT at ridiculous prices.
My friends bought this waffle cup with 2 scoops at 10sgd.
Expensive ... but looks so good haha!

Qian Men 前门

The streets of Qian Men are really old! The buildings are
those you would see in another century ( °д°)
Many of them are preserved well and there are shops
on the first floor. Many restaurants claim to date back to
the 1700s and are passed down the generations.










note: china is ALWAYS crowded. we are getting used to it.
and of course, we are always conscious of our SAFETY ahh.
