TianAnMen Flag Lowering 天安门降旗

Yoyo and I went to see Flag Lowering that day.
ITS NOTHING MUCH AT ALL, or how the chinese people put
it : 真没意思！ (´＿｀｡) We didn't even know the flag had started
lowering! No national anthem was played and the flag was lowered
silently. Once lowered, the soldier would carry it somewhere into
TianAnMen or something. I couldn't see haha (w＿－；

The tiny flag that everyone wants to see being lowered. It is so
far away, and there are a TON of people.

There's this super HUGE theatre that beats esplanade anyday.
The view of it when the sun sets is really nice as the whole surface
of the theatre is reflective!!!

Summer Palace 殷和园

Heh heh I haven't been posting for a while (￣▽+￣*)
internet time has been pretty limited ~
Anyway, I went to SUMMER PALACE a week or so ago!!

Wentworth Miller 米帅

Apparently, the chinese love Wentworth Miller quite a lot.
I read that they call him 米帅 (mi shuai), with MI being the
shortform of his name, and SHUAI being handsome.
He even came here a few days ago for some promotional
activities, but of course I didn't get to see him (´＿｀｡)

I'm guessing they knew of him through their "learn english"
courses. they sell english courses here which features dramas
like FRIENDS, Desperate Housewives etc. You get the show, with
both chinese and english subtitles. Plus, a textbook to teach you
what they are saying, line by line. I wonder if they even understand
Joey's lame jokes in FRIENDS (￣Д￣；；

Today, I went to one of the stores he endorses here.
Its ME & CITY, a branch off METERSBONWE.
METERSBONWE here is quite different! The clothes in
Singapore's branches are not nice at all, whereas in Beijing
the clothes are comparable to ZARA. I went to one of the
biggest, which is a whole 5 storey building haha! (*^▽^*)

THE PLACE 世贸ーー

Patrick, Minyu & I had some free time at about 6pm ~ decided to
head down to The Place, which we heard has a humongous tv
screen there. Its actually really near JianGuoMen area, which is
where our hotel is. Its 'considered' walking distance, but it would
prolly take us half an hour to get there (￣_￣ i)

On the sides of the screen, there are 2 shopping centres that
are joined at the basement.


The screen constantly changes with different 'shows'.

Its FOOD again

Lala ~ just posting up pictures of food i've eaten
recently. All taken with my lousy handphone
camera haha.

This is Macdonalds hashbrown. When its first put on
your try, it does not look oily at all. But, if you
eat your hotcakes first and leave your hashbrown in
between some tissues ... this is the result. Oil
soaked way through the tissues, the paper on the tray
and eventually the tray too.


They've got a fast food chain called LOTTERIA here.
It looks pretty good and they have giant burgers
like those in Carls Jr. My burger was a bit plain
looking but tasted good. & they had SHAKER FRIES.
The powder given was a cheese one.



TOAST BOX OMG. You can tell them Teh C and they
understand haha! Laksa & Mee Siam is available too
but I don't really eat those haha. The bread is good,
& the eggs are the same too!!
