今年剛好有行內的友人有免費入場卷
所以帶喜歡室內設計和家的品媽媽去這個展覽
I went to this event couple years ago with friends. I find it quite interesting to see the newest home decoration ideas. It was fortunately that this year a friend of mine who worked in the industry has free passes. So I took my mom, who loves interior design and home furnishing things, to this show that she will be interested in.

會場最華麗的莫過是DINNING AREA的展覽
有從低調奢華到極具氣派的設計到有
單是看看也令人高興
The most interesting part of the show must be the area where they show interior design ideas for dinning room. From simple, chic, luxury to ultra in-your-face fancy dinning rooms. It makes me happy just looking at them.

把舊家具, 加點創意, 變成別樹一格的設計

除了DIY設計師外, 還有些設計師喜歡把活生生的植物容入實內設計
綠化室內環境
Western Canada loves nature. PERIOD.
Not only we have DIY designers who redecorate old furniture, we also have designers who seek to incorporate nature into the interior. Living with a wall and furniture with real plants is no longer fantasy.

After the event I went to Fairmont Pacific Rim for some refreshments
FAIRMONT PACIFIC RIM的LOUNGE都是日/西FUSION的
他們的MENU很有創意
我點了他們的原創COCKTAIL BENZAITEN (弁財天)
是GIMLET的變奏版
Fairmont Pacific Rim's lounge is a fusion style of the west and Japan.
I find their menu quite interesting. I ordered one of their original cocktails - Benzaiten (弁才天). It is an improved version of Gimlet.

味道和後感都多了份層次~~~
Food wise it is western/Japanese fusion too.
I really like it because it adds depth in flavor and complexity in texture to the dish :)
