Yuzuru HANYU (Yuzu) visited temporary housing in Fukushima on 18th June.
仮設住宅に住む女性
「帰りたくても帰るところがない。（故郷に）行きたいなと思っても行くところはないと思うと・・・」
The lady living in the temporary housing says,
“ I wish I could go back to my hometown where I grew up… but I know it’s impossible…”
羽生選手
「今、すごく感じたのは、皆さんにとっての故郷と、僕たちにとっての故郷は何も変わらない。故郷って一番落ち着ける場所だと思う。」
Yuzu says,
“ I really felt now that their love for Fukushima was the same as ours for our hometown where we feel most at home.”
羽生選手
「（仮設住宅に住む皆さんは）辛いこともあるし、それを押し殺して我慢して、こうやって苦しい状況の中で頑張っていると思う。」
Yuzu says,
“ They are still suffering living in the temporary housing, but they bottle up their feelings and endure it in such a painful situation.”
羽生選手
「こういった瞬間に、本当に皆さんの花がぱーっと咲くような笑顔を見ることができて、僕自身嬉しかったです。」
Yuzu says,
“I was happy today to see people’s smiles like blooming flowers there.”

警察庁によると、東日本大震災による死者は３月10日時点で全国で１万5891人に上る。被災の大きかった宮城県が9539人、岩手県が4673人、福島県が1612人。
According to the National Police Agency, the death toll from the Earthquake and Tsunami on 11 March, 2011 climed to 15,891. (9,539 in Miyagi prefecture, the hardest-hit area, 4,673 in Iwate prefecture, and 1,612 in Fukushima prefecture.)

行方不明者は2584人おり、警察や消防などは定期的に行方不明者の捜索を続けている。
震災後に体調を崩して死亡したり、避難生活を苦にして自殺したりした「震災関連死」は増え続け、復興庁によると昨年９月末時点で3194人に上った。このうち福島県は1793人で、同県では直接死の人数を上回っている。
2,584 people are still missing. The police and fire departments are still searching for them on a regular basis. The earthquake-related death (incl. disease and suicide) reached 3,194 at the end of September in 2014, 1,793 of which died in Fukushima where the number of the earthquake-related death exceeds the dead because of the Earthquake and Tsunami. 全国の避難者数は２月時点で約22万９千人。津波被害に加え、東京電力福島第１原子力発電所事故が起きた福島県が約11万９千人に上る。同県ではこのうち約４万７千人が県外への避難を余儀なくされている。震災から４年を経てもプレハブの仮設住宅で暮らす避難者は岩手、宮城、福島の３県で８万人以上に上る。
229,000 people throughout Japan are still living as refugees. Above all, in Fukushima where the nuclear power plant accident occurred in addition to the tsunami damage, the number of refugees reaches about 119,000, about 47,000 of which are forced to take refuge outside Fukushima. After four years since the earthquake disaster, more than 80,000 people in total in Iwate, Miyagi, and Fukushima are still living in the prefabricated houses.
