As an ODA (Official Development Assistance), the Japanese government is
planning to purchase products such as canned fish from the devastated area
and send them to developing countries if they ask for the products.
On the 4th of November 2011, a group of Japanese women met bureaucrats in Tokyo to ask them to stop that plan in writing.
