In April 2012, the Group acquired 3,600,000 preference shares of Kakao Corp. (“Kakao”), a company principally engaged
in developing and operating mobile messaging applications, representing approximately 13.8% of its then issued share
capital, for a cash consideration of KRW72,000,000,000 (equivalent to approximately RMB401,053,000). Since the
Group has significant influence in Kakao through its representative in the board of directors, Kakao is accounted for as an
associate of the Group.
