９月と言えば、お月見（十五夜）。
今年は本日27日が、中秋の名月です。
秋は収穫の季節。
お月見は元々は「農作物の豊作を祈願し、無事に収穫が終わったものには感謝を捧げる」ためのもの。
電灯がなかった時代には、月明かりは農作業の大きな助けとなっていたそうで、そういった意味でも月に感謝し、祈る習慣ができたそうです。日本人には昔から、月を眺めて愛でる習慣があります。
豊作の祈願と収穫の感謝をする日なので、お米を使って月に似せた「団子」と、稲穂によく似ている「すすき」を飾ります。
日本人はお月見が大変好きだったようで、年に２回お月見をするようになるのですが、
十三夜と呼ばれる後の月は10月25日。
今日の東京は天気が悪いので、お月様見えるかな？
お月見にはいつもおばあちゃんがお団子を作ってくれたので、おばあちゃんが作ってくれたお団子が食べたい。
“Otsukimi" is a seasonal festival to enjoy the moon on the night of August 15th, on the Chinese calendar.
Otsukimi means “viewing the moon”.
In 2015, August 15th on the Chinese calendar is September 27th on the Gregorian calendar.
The moon which you can see on the 15th is called “Chushu-no-meigetsu” which means “Mid-Autumn moon”.
In Japan,people offer the rice dumplings and silver grasses in appreciation for the harvest of grains.
