Mr.Sakamoto always told me, "Don't worry about my illness, please take careof yourself." "Let's make themost of the time we have left with each other," encouraging each other ─
Mr. Sakamoto, who had been living in NewYork for over 30 years, had no choice but to move to Japan for medical treatment.I was sending him daily photos such as the snowy scenery of Azumino and Hijiri Kogen in Nagano. It seems that Mr.Sakamoto was trying hard to return to his home in New York someday, butunfortunately his wish was not fulfilled and he ended his life in Tokyo.
Overthe past few years, Mr. Sakamoto and I have exchanged emails frequently, especially during the winter months when we both have birthdays. Both of themwere often hospitalized, and I think it was often from the hospital bed. Inparticular, from the end of last year until after January 17, which was Mr.Sakamoto's 71st birthday this year, I couldn't help but feel a anxiety. However, the anxiety was not hopeless. What worried me was that Mr. Sakamoto's reply to the email was muchfaster than usual. Mr. Sakamoto's PC is open all the time, Sincehe was logged in to PC all the time until his birthday on the 17th, it was easyto imagine that he might not even be able to get out of bed.
I had a hard time sending a sentence of "How are you feeling?" in an email. I wrote and erased over and over again.
InJuly 2011, when Mr. Sakamoto contacted me for the first time, I still can'tforget how excited I was (Of course, after a fierce approach from me). December 15, 2012 I had the chance to meethim for the first time at the Matsumoto Performing Arts Center, and was touchedby his warm personality. When I was ajunior high school student in the 1980s, Mr. Sakamoto was someone I admiredever since I came across the existence of the Yellow Magic Orchestra in"RYDEEN". He was my rolemodel. No way, who would have imaginedthat I would be able to reach out to such a longed-for person.
─ Ryuichi Sakamoto's music has alwaysreverberated in my life. Life is short, and I want to make the most of the time I have left.

This exhibition is held as part of the SU-EN Butoh Company Celebrates 30 years anniversary, and features photographs works and videos works group during the 20 years from 2003, when Junichi Kakizaki first met the SU-EN Butoh Company at Filkingen, Stockholm, to the present. All works, except for the video work of Fukushima, were shot in Scandinavia. If it hadn't been for SU-EN's influence, Kakizaki wouldn't exist today. It brought me manye ncounters and discoveries and pushed me forward. With love to the vast nature of Scandinavia,Haglund Skola and Uppsala, Kakizaki celebrate the 30th anniversary of the SU-EN Butoh Company with you. Various artists and friends who have been involved with and supported the SU-EN Butoh Company will gather together to create a luxurious and chaotic night suitable for celebrating the 30th anniversary. Anyone can participate in this celebration.

An installation of land art works on the theme of Fukushima's natural monument "Isolepis crassiuscula natural habitat of Kaneyama" will be exhibited with printed photos and video.
Junichi Kakizaki selects plants such as flowers and trees as art materials and constructs a new environment with nature and the earth as a support. Installations using earthwork are part of the art style located in land art and environmental art, and the artist presents the striking beauty, strength and fragility of ife by adding self-expression to natural objects. Fudo-shimizu, where Isolepis crassiuscula grows wild, the installation stage was the flora nurtured by the clear stream that gushes out from the depression surrounded by the cedar forest of tall trees, and the spring itself where Isolepis crassiuscula grows naturally. By using white film materials in a space that gives the impression of being in a deep forest, we created an ambiguous border in this natural world. The shape that traces the course of the white elephant stream is Line, and it is also Mask that covers the surface of the water where Isolepis crassiuscula inhabits. The creatively arranged beauty forms are points that act as singular points of the place, while also having a wide impact on the surrounding space.
The installation in this project was developed at the Isolepis crassiuscula habitat located in Omotego Kaneyama, Shirakawa City. "Isolepis crassiuscula'' is a perennial aquatic plant classified in the genus Isolepis crassiuscula of the Cyperaceae family, and was named by the botanist Tomitaro Makino (1862-1957) in 1903 after the name of "Byakkotai'' rice field. In addition, Isolepis crassiuscula is a rare species that retains remnants of the Ice Age, and since this place is the only natural habitat of Isolepis crassiuscula in Japan, it has been registered as a natural monument designated by Fukushima Prefecture as the "Kaneyama Isolepis crassiuscula natural habitat". , which remains protected to this day.
Giving top priority to the vegetation and environmental protection of the nature reserve, the installation was completed on-site in just one day and was closed to the public. At the Shirakawa Performing Arts Theater Hall Cominess, it will be presented in the form of photographs and videos that emphasize the visual arts while also encapsulating the values of the record.

Junichi Kakizaki will participate in and exhibit at the exhibition "Garden of Ψ · Dream of Φ" in Higashimukojima, Tokyo. This exhibition is planned by Ayako Mino and supervised by Shigakogen Roman Museum Curator Kazufumi Suzuki, and is a homage exhibition commemorating the 100th anniversary of the birth of Yutaka Matsuzawa, a leading figure in conceptual art. It will start at 19:19 on March 19, 2022 and will disappear at 19:19 on March 19. Junichi Kakizaki will exhibit 22 works including new and unpublished works in this exhibition. In addition, Hiroyuki Oki will screen a video work "001001: Yutaka Matsuzawa + Kazuo Ohno Collaboration" that records the performances of Yutaka Matsuzawa, Kazuo Ohno, and Yoshito Ohno at Hasedera Temple in Nagano City in 2000.
In 1964, there was an artist named Yutaka Matsuzawa who established the conceptual art after receiving the revelation "Erase the objects". What does "erase the object" mean? We think what Matsuzawa was saying was that even if the material "things" disappeared, they still exist, and that is the truth. Therefore, it can be said that Matsuzawa, who died in 2006, still exists in a quantum manner.
2022 is the 100th anniversary of Matsuzawa's birth, and in this milestone year, how can Yutaka Matsuzawa and her currently alive Tists communicate with each other through the exhibition? We hope that this exhibition can be developed as a place to put it into practice.
Ayako Mino
