引き続き、今日は第三問を見てみます。質問について二人の対話を聞き、最も適切な答えを選ぶ問題です。全部で３問ありましたが、そのうちの一つをご紹介します。（TOEIC(R)のPart3のような出題形式です）
問14の会話文：
A: *Something is wrong with the printer.
B: *What's the matter?
A: I *turned it on and tried to print my essay, but nothing happened.
B: Is it connected to your computer?
A: Yes, it is. Oh, we have to put some paper in it.
B: I guess we *should have checked that first.
問14の質問文 What is the problem?
① The man didn't turn on the printer.
② The man needs to pay per sheet.
③ The printer and the computer aren't connected.
④ There isn't any paper in the printer.
なかなか盛り沢山の会話ですね。
*Something is wrong with~:「何か～がおかしい」
*What's the matter?:「どうかしたんですか？」（＝What's wrong?）
*turn on:「オンにする；電源を入れる」
*should have checked: 「should have + 過去分詞」で、「～すべきだった（なのにしなかった）」
例）I should have studied harder before the test.（試験の前にもっと勉強すべきだった）
例）I shouldn't have said such a bad thing.（あんなひどいことを言うべきではなかった）
