先週末ですが、Nagomi Visitでアメリカからお客様が来ました。
Last weekend we had a wonderful guest from L.A. as a Nagomi Visit.
L.A.ということで、前に住んでいた地域を知ってる？と聞いてみたら
知ってるとのこと。でも彼らはもっと郊外の一軒家に住んでるらしいです。
※L.A．と言っても、関東４県（東京＋千葉＋埼玉＋神奈川）ぐらい広いので
全然知らないこともあるんですよ、実は。
They live near L.A.So I asked her if you know where I used to live.She knows the area.
Some people doesn't know all area because L.A. is the huge city.
Oh!! I miss L.A.とメールしたらS（奥さん）が
「お土産何かリクエストある？買って行ってあげるよ。」と言ってくれたので
日本人らしくなく（爆）遠慮もせずに
「Trader Joe's」（アメリカの有名なスーパー）の物を頼んじゃいました（えへへ）
I sent a mail "Oh!! I miss L.A." then she kindly reply me she was going to bring something I missed LA. I didn't hesitate to ask her for some Trader Joe's things. haha I may not be like Japanese.
メニューはカンタンですが、子ども達のリクエストにより
流しそうめん（マシーン）とたこ焼き♪
「タコ焼きはレベル高いんじゃない？」とパパに言われて不安になったけど
R（旦那さん）は食べたことある！って言ってくれてS（奥さん）も
食べてみたら「美味しい！」と言ってくれました（ほ）
タコがダメだった時のために一応バックアップとして
ソーセージ入りも準備。チーズとか入れても美味しいしね。
We served "Takoyaki(Octopus ball)" and "Nagashi Somen(Floating somen noodles in the water)" Taka said "Can they eat octopus? I'm afraid many American people doesn't like them." But Ray has been to eat octopus before and recommended his wife Shayla, she tried Takoyaki and she said delicious! I was glad to hear it. We actually prepared some sausages instead of octopus but we didn't have to be worry.
流しそうめんは、最初二人とも苦戦してたけど
"This is like a game.You can't catch noodles, you can't eat!"と言ったら
すごーく頑張って
"I got them! I got them!!"と興奮してました（笑）
It was very difficult to pick up some floating noodles from the water,
I said "This is like a game.You can't catch noodles, you can't eat!"
then they really pick them up with effort,finally"I got them! I got them!!"excitedly said.LoL
Sには、タコ焼き作りも体験してもらいました。
途中から要領がわかったみたいで、めっちゃ上手でした。
Shayla tried cooking Takoyaki ball.She learned how to cook them very soon and was good at cooking Takoyaki!
アメリカに住んでいる時はPotluck（持ち寄り）パーティで
「ぜひ和食を持ってきて」なんて言われても、
海苔やシーフード（特に生）が苦手なアメリカ人が多かったり
宗教上の理由で豚肉や牛肉は食べられなかったりする人がいて
何を持って行けばいいのかすごく悩みました。
When we lived in L.A. and had a potluck party,it was very difficult to decide what kind of Japanese food I should take because some people couldn't eat seaweeds and raw fish, other people couldn't eat pork or beef because of religious reason.
でも、Nagomi Visitで来る外国からのお客様は
「日本人が普段食べている物を日本の人と一緒に食べてみたい」という
目的で来ているため、結構何でも大丈夫な人が多い気がします。
白菜のお漬物や紅しょうがも美味しい美味しいと食べてくれました。
やるな～～!
Most of guest from Nagomi Visit are very active to eat any Japanese food.
"We want to eat typical and local Japanese food with local Japanese people."
That's why they actively try many kind of food we usually eat. They ate some Japanese pickles and red pickled ginger.You can be Japanese!
食後はRから子ども達にプレゼントとして絵を描いてくれました（写真左下）
なんと！Rはプロの漫画家さんなのです！Wow!
Ray drew this Super Mario's picture with quick color pencil strokes, because he is a professional comic artist! He gave it to my kids and they said "Awesome!!"

Spider-manは前に描いて来てくれたもの。
Marioはその場でサササーっと描いてくれました。
Spider man picture is also gift from Ray.
私達からは、食事に使ったおわんとおはしのセットをプレゼントしました。
それから、子育てについてや（彼らは15歳と16歳のお子さんがいます）
L.A.について、日本のマンガについて、いろいろたくさん話しました。
本当に話題がつきなくて楽しかった！！
We gave them chopsticks and Japanese small bowl as a gift.
We really enjoyed chatting with them for a long time about raising children(they have teenage son and daughter), Japanese Manga, and L.A.life ,etc.
今回はランチだったので、のんびりおしゃべりできたのも嬉しかった。
（夜だと、子ども達のお風呂の時間や寝る時間を気にしないといけないので）
It was also very good point that they visited us lunch time, so we have many talking time.When guest visit us at dinner time, I have to care about our kids' bath-time and sleep-time.
その後もFacebookで交流が続いていて、彼らは今日富士山に行ったらしいです。
（やっぱり富士山って人気なんですね～）
もしL.A.に行く時は彼らのおうちを訪ねてみたいです♪
After their visit,we can contact through Facebook and keep in touch.
They went to Mt.Fuji today.Mt.Fuji is very popular with the tourist.
I hope to go to L.A. and visit them someday ;-)
