Belated Happy New Year to you all who I would like to share and you to know about Japan.
New Year`s Dishes that we make for New Year`s days and eat from on January 1st to,,,,,,,,3rd^^?
This is called O se chi Ryouri(New Year`s Dishes)(There are a few(several) kinds are missing or you could add more kinds) that we eat on the days.
Each food has meaning.....
This is Yuzu citrus that we use as a cup to put food inside in them^^.
This is one side of New Years` Bamboo tree one at a small Ferry termnal(on main island side) on the way to visiting my grandma`s place(an island).
New Year`s days are one of the days that we get chubby for us(Japanese) who eat a lots and sleep a lots in the year^^,many are going back home town to visit families(friends) and grandparents and going to their ancestors`grave to thank and pray for.
So,on January 7th,is the day that we eat Rice porridge with 7 different Spring herbs to rest our stomach from eating a lot for New Year`s days.
with 5 ml spoon(tea spoon size).
Simple seasonings....just putting salt.
Having the food to Wish for the healthy for 2017^^.
Putting eggs.....(puttting pork or chichen or any protein you could add would be ok)
Any idea of the food that is pink in the middle?Oh I guess those of you who have tried Japanese pickled plum(that is so sour even a bit of piece^^;)might get the idea!
It`s our ginger!! Ginger,,,,,,,is pink!!!???Well,would like to share one day,why it`s pink!!Of course natural coloring!!
This one reach to someone`s heart who can enjoy our food^^.
