And, on Tuesday, Ford announced that the GT will have lighter glass, too.
The automaker is partnering with Corning Inc. to put a Gorilla Glass hybrid windshield and rear engine cover on the car that is about 30 percent lighter than traditional glass.
The laminate in the Gorilla Glass hybrid window is also about 25-50 percent thinner, but its strength is at least equal that of traditional laminate, the company said.
新型フォードGT用の、リアエンジンフードガラスに使用されるようで、強度があるので今までのガラスより25～50％薄くでき（厚さ3～4mm）、結果30％軽量化になるようです。
フロントと左右は、乗員保護用のガラスになっているため、このガラスは採用できないのかな。
タイミング的に、シグマのレンズプロテクターと同じものなのかどうなのか。
