エンジン
エンジンはフェラーリ・ディーノ246GT/GTSやフィアット・ディーノに使われたものと基本的に同じ。元々フェラーリの2,418ccのV6エンジンはディーノ206GT用のユニット自体、F2用に開発されたものであり、ストラトスで採用されたのはこれをボアアップした後の246GT用のユニットであり、両者とも高回転よりの特性を持つ。
本物は492台しか製造されていないようです。
動画のマシンはレプリカです。
キットだと3万ポンド、組立済みは4万ポンド。（4万ポンド＝683万円）
アルファ166用の2.5リッターV6エンジン＆ミッション。
フェラーリのエンジンは高いのでアルファエンジンが一番本物に近い構成ね。
出力は、240馬力とコメントしているが、
アルファロメオ166ノーマル出力は、2.5L V6 190ps、3.0L V6 220ps。
試乗車は、190馬力程度ではないのかとのこと。
ドライビングポジションは、本物より良いらしい。
アルファ166は結構最近のモデルで、部品入手も容易で良さそう。
166のエンジンルームと比較すると、向きそのままで後輪側に載せ替えただけみたいね。
この手のFFエンジンを使った横置きMRマシンは、すごく簡単に作れそうな気がする。
