おはようございます。
昨日はびっくりしました。
朝のんびりコーヒーを飲みながらマスターズを見ていました。
何気なくチャンネルを変えたら、地震発生の放送が！
10数年前の記憶がよみがえりました。
あのときも、朝早く出勤の準備をしていると、地震が！
ちょっと揺れました。
テレビを見ると淡路島で大地震との速報が流れていました。
最初は被害情報も少なく、大したことなさそうだと思っていました。
詳しい情報が流れてくるにつれ、大変な地震だったことが徐々にわかってきました。
ああ、地震はいつ起こるかわかりません。
気をつけないといけませんね。

では次に単語の「音」と単語が表す「イメージ」をリンクさせましょう。
日本語訳とリンクさせるのではないですよ。
単語のイメージです。
例えば501番initiativeの単語の意味は「手始め、主導権」ですが、この単語を耳にしたときに日本語訳を思い出していたのでは時間がかかりすぎます。
特にリスニングでは、思い出そうとしている間に次の単語がどんどん流れていってしまいます。
でも、このようなイメージだったら一瞬で浮かびますよね。
日本語を丸暗記するのではなく、日本語を参考にして、それぞれの単語のイメージを作り出してください。
そして、そのイメージと単語の音声をリンクさせるのが大事なのです。
「リンクさせる」とは、ある単語を耳にしたらその単語のイメージをパッと思い浮かべたり、その単語のイメージを思い浮かべながら発音することです。
