ハッとする詩に出会いました。
神父 アルフレッド D スーザ(Father Alfred D.Souza)の詩。
韓国ドラマ『キムサムスン』でも
引用されていたようです。
Happiness is a journey, not a destination.
Dance as though no one is watching you.
Love as though you have never been hurt before.
Sing as though no one can hear you.
Live as though heaven is on earth.
幸せは旅であり 目的地ではない
踊りなさい 誰も見ていないように
愛しなさい 一度も傷ついたことがないように
歌いなさい 誰も聴いていないように
生きなさい 今日が最後の日であるように
なんか、臆病になっているわたしに
こうズシリと響きました。
せっかくこうして生命があって
体験する歓びを味わえるのだものね。
下に紹介する詩の前半部分も、とっても素敵です。
わかったように思っていても
ときにどうしようもなくジタバタしてしまう。
でも、思いきりジタバタした後は
きっと軽やかに飛び立つ自分を見るのだと思います。
For a long time
it seemed to me that life was about to begin - real life.
But there was always some obstacle in the way,
something to be gotten through first,
some unfinished business,
time still to be served, a debt to be paid.
Then life would begin.
At last it dawned on me that these obstacles were my life.
This perspective has helped me to see
there is no way to happiness.
Happiness is the way.
So treasure every moment you have
and remember that time waits for no one.
