Tonight's class we talked about food. Some of the words we used were eggplant, noodles, deep-fried dough (corokee) and others. An expression we learned was "the ___ absorbs the oil.

We also compared the difference in American food and Japanese food. Words like oily, greasy, volume (portions) were talked about, and the big thing was size. American restaurants give you more!

Expressions learned were "hangups". Ex: "Everyone has a hangup", which means everyone has something they worry too much about.

The last thing we talked about was airlines and compared which was better.

It seems that Singapore Airlines is the number one airline in Japan and JAL is number two! I was surprised!
