遂にガンビア初のコロナ感染者確認
“All schools, including universities, madrassas and daras or majlis will be closed from Wednesday, 18th March 2020 for 21 days.
Furthermore, all other public gatherings in whatever form, including lumos (open markets) and Gamos are immediately suspended for three weeks.
The suspension period will be subject to review as we get updates from the experts.

昨年11月末頃にガンビア共和国に戻って滞在中の日々。昨日2020年3月17日ついに当地ガンビア共和国内で数日前に英国から戻ったばかりのガンビア人のコロナ感染確認第一号とのことで、未だガンビア国内での二次感染例は未報告なのだけど、先に感染者が出てた隣国セネガルで対策強化してるのを横目に見てた政府が、注目の高まるこのタイミングで国内感染拡大予防処置を宣言した感じ。
明けた今日3月18日から3週間は、
政府系や宗教系のも含めて学校施設はクローズ。集会類禁止。各地週一開催の移動式大規模野外市である楽しいルモも、この期間は禁止。
なお、ホットスポット国からの全旅行者は
ガンビア到着後に2週間隔離としますと。今までもコロナ対策として旅行者は中国辺りからのを主として約二百人強を観察対象としてきてた様子だったが当然の対策強化となった。2週間の隔離じゃ完璧とは程遠いと思われるけど、少しは時間稼ぎ効果あるか。
