I put off writing this testimonial for as long as I could, because I knew that writing it would bring a sense of finality to my time in Glasgow and I just wasn ready for that. If you thinking about going on exchange but are unsure, you needn be. No matter where you are, it will be amazing. Do it.

I in my 5th year of anArts/Law degree and I studied law electives at Glasgow including Intellectual Property law, Public International law, European Union law and Environmental law. Classes were quite different to UQ, with some courses having weekly seminars, some having three lectures and week and four tutorials and others having both lectures and workshops. All the courses were interesting, with my favourite probably being Intellectual Property law thanks to the amazing lecturer. Course registration can be tricky, but there is plenty of support for exchange students the school of law has their own international officer to answer all questions, in addition to the staff of the international office. In terms of courses, I wouldn recommend picking anything you think would be time consuming. Weekends spent inside studying is time that could be spent exploring!

Regarding exploring, make sure you get out and about and see as much of Scotland as you can. If you don make it to the Highlands at least once (and preferably go as often as possible) you will have wasted your exchange. The International Society does trips every weekend all over the place, so it really easy to see things and they relatively inexpensive. Plus it a great way to meet people! Edinburgh, London and Cardiff are all a cheap train/coach ride away as well, provided you get in early. I also made it to Denmark, Norway, Sweden and the Czech Republic over Easter break, as there is a four and a half week break between the end of classes and exam block.

As for Glasgow itself, it has to be one of my favourite places in the world. nike air jordan 1 retro uk The Glaswegians are a ridiculously friendly bunch and the city itself is filled with great pubs.
