What do you think does this picture look like?
Oh, it looks like a planet, but actually, it isn't. This is a quail egg.
I shot the quail egg and inverted the image.
Inverting the image makes the bright part darker and the dark part brighter.
It resulted in the color becoming complementary blue.
2
This is the state of seeing a quail egg from below.
3
If you invert it into negative in Photoshop it will look like this.
4
What do you think does this picture look like?
This is a manhole lid.
I found it near the sea. It was rusty due to the onslaught of salt.
5
Picture 5 presents one stairstep.
It looks like a big cliff. I took this near the ocean.
6
Picture 6 is Green Planet.
This is a picture of one stairstep.
I took this in one of Kamakura's temple's precincts.
The stairs are covered with moss.
The photo technique called focus-stack made the small object look bigger.
The concept of this series is to make things around us look extraterrestrial.
7
Picture 7 is a molehill. The height is about 30cm.
Moles are small creatures living underground.
A small pile is created when they dig up the ground.
When rain poured onto the hill, its shape turned this way. I shot it from the bottom so that this hill looks big.
8
Picture B-8 is a photo of the ice pillar discovered on the cliff.
The size is about 30 cm.
I shot it in Nagano Prefecture.
Nagano prefecture is located right between Tokyo and Kyoto.
The prefecture is surrounded by mountains so it can get pretty cold out there.
9
Picture 9 is a paint that spilled on the asphalt road.
Perhaps someone painted a house so it spilled some paint on the road.
10
This is a flower planet.
It is actually a flat place, but I transformed it into this shape using Photoshop.
There were a lot of people, but I erased them in Photoshop.
11
Picture 11 is a picture of fallen leaves taken in autumn.
I photographed leaves floating in the water from above.
I edited the photo to make it look like a planet.

This is a device for taking kaleidoscope-photos.
In a normal kaleidoscope, we will observe objects in the kaleidoscope.
However, with this device, various subjects can be patterned by attaching it to the camera.
2
I used 3 mirrors with this kaleidoscope to take this photo.
3
This is a Japanese flower.
I took this picture outdoors.
The part that looks blue is the sky.
4
The next picture is flower petals taken in the room.
The image is distorted because I shot it using a fisheye lens.
I put flower petals on the lightbox and shot.
5
I used 2-mirror systems in the next picture.
If you use two mirrors, the pattern will look like a pizza pattern.
However, if you use three mirrors, the pattern will spread more.
You can also create kaleidoscope-like patterns in Photoshop.
However, in the case of a real kaleidoscope, the pattern shifts slightly and the brightness changes.
This is the fun of using analog photography.
6
This is a device with a paper tube attached to the tip of the lens.
I put brown paper inside the tube.
When taking pictures with this device, the inside of the tube can also be visible.
7
Picture 7 is Plum, Plum is called Ume in Japan.
8
8 is Persian speedwell.
9
9 is Sakura.
This picture is like an image peeking out from a circular window.
I was inspired by a circular window in Kyoto.

I'm an experimental photographer.
I am doing various experiments to take pictures I have never seen before.
Let me talk about my experimental photography today.
2
The next photograph is of a drill driver camera.
I attached the camera to the tip of the drill driver.
3
The next picture is my dog.
I always use my dog as a test subject.
There are Christmas lights behind the dog and as I take a picture with my camera the lights form circles.
The circles form due to long light exposure.
4
The next invention is a shaking amplification device.
The camera is attached to the handle with rubber bands.
That enables me to take a blurred photo by shooting while moving the camera.
This is a device for taking accidental photography.
An accident is an important factor for photography.
5
I took about 5 to 10 pictures using this device.
It was these sightseeing spots in Tokyo that I chose as my theme for shooting.
What do you think this is the picture of?
This is Tokyo Sky Tree.
It is the tallest tower in Japan and its height is 645 m.
At the bottom of the picture, we can see the river.
6
The next picture is Shibuya Crossing.
It is a famous crossing where so many people cross.
Many tourists visit and take self-portraits here.
7
The next picture is the statue of Hachiko.
He is a famous Japanese dog.
Even after his master died, he kept waiting for his return.
This story also became a movie starring Richard Gere.
The name of the movie is "Hachi: A Dog's Tale".
8
The next is the picture of colorful shirts.
The picture was taken in the street of Harajuku.
Harajuku is famous as a fashion town, it is the origin of Kawaii culture.
9
The last photo is the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building.
This twin tower building has a unique characteristic.
I took this picture from a park nearby.
We have a fixed image of sightseeing spots but I want to break those stereotypical images.
In this work, my goal is to create a picture where it's taken unintentionally with the help of the rubber band.
I want to show the next work. Please click the link in the chat box.
