これから映画などの主題歌に使おうとしています・また彼らのコンセプトがイギリスの学校ということなので このごろイギリスで新人などのバンド交換をしますがイギリス風の格好をし、イギリスの旗をかかげてライブをするので好印象でもあります・・実際メンバー全員がクリエイターとしてかなりの経験を積んでいるプロです。音源を聞いてもらうとなかなかうまいバンド。先日イギリス大使館公認で私の記事が公開されています。ラッキー。そんななかで「バンドやろうぜ」をコンセプト音楽を始めた頃の気持ちに戻せたらという思いによりT.M.Revolutionの西川貴教を中心に結成されたバンドです。（ただしリーダーは岸さん）。それに関連してか、メンバーが集まって店屋物を頼むときには、それぞれ注文は1人1食あたり1000円以内と決めているというアピールをシングル『INNOCENT SORROW』の広報活動時まで頻繁に行っていた。理由は「新人バンドという自覚を持つため」らしい。 バンド名は英国に実在する寄宿学校Abingdon Schoolからとったもの。レディオヘッドのメンバーの出身校としても有名。
なお、こちらの発音は前述の通り「アビンドン」とする方がよりそれに近いため、バンド名とは細かな違いがある。 彼らは約1年前もうイギリスというコンセプトを掲げておりこれはクリエイトするものにとっては早い感覚なのかな？時代の先端を行くであろうクリエイトであるエンタメ。とりあえず経済低迷でも日本はずっと経済世界第２位をもっていたんだから。将来日本のクリエイトはアジア勢によって消え行くであろうともいわれていますが、素敵な部分だけでも残したいものですよね・なんだか自分のアイデンテイテイが消えて行くような気持ちです。エンタメといってもさまざま。。食、笑い、映画、エンタメ音楽、人を喜ばせること、癒すこと、すべてがエンターテインメントであろうから、自分にはあまりできないけれど少しでも 素敵なエンタメを提供できるよう努力してまいります。これが書くことなのかプロデュースなのか今はまだわかりません。そんななか、もともと日本で人気を博していた人気バンドTMレボリューション。そのボーカルである西川くんらバンドのabeindon boys schoolはなかなか面白い。
映画といってもアニメの音楽ではとてもあっている以前日本の映画ではデスノートで使われていましたが、でもイケメンそろいの彼らビジュアル的にも、音的にもいいとおもいおもいます。
こちらのYou Tubeの画面ほうがイギリス風だと思いますが ネクタイがちょっとと違和感がある人が多いみたいです・・・決定しているのはテレビ東京系TVアニメ「ソウルイーター」エンディングテーマ
