木村拓哉さん主演「武士の一分」、バンクーバーで上映始まる
バンクーバーの映画館「Ridge Theatre」（3131 Arbutus St., Vancouver、TEL 604-732-3352）で9月19日、日本映画「Love and Honor（武士の一分：いちぶん）」の上映が始まった。
同映画は2006年12月に日本で公開された映画で、松竹配給映画としては興行収入40億円を超える歴代最高記録を樹立。木村拓哉さんが時代劇で映画初主演したことでも話題に。ハワイ、モスクワ、ベルリンの国際映画祭で上映されるなど海外でも好評で、今回バンクーバーでの上映が決定した。
デンマークからの旅行でバンクーバーに滞在中のAnnaさんは「イメージしていた普通の『サムライ映画』とは全く異なっていて、出演者の美しさ、風景の美しさ、物語の美しさ、すべてに心が洗われた2時間だった」とハンカチで涙をぬぐいながら話した。「ほかの日本映画もチャンスがあれば見てみたい」とも。
「まさかバンクーバーの映画館でこの作品を見ることができるとは思わなかった」とうれしそうに話すのは日本にいる友人から薦められて見に来たというバンクーバー在住の未央さん。カナダ人のShaneさんは「木村拓哉と言えば『アイドルグループSMAPの一員で、ドラマで人気がある』というイメージしか持っていなかったが、この作品での彼の演技は素晴らしかった。立派な『武士』を演じていた」と評価した。
