Taka Moriuchi, better known simply as Taka, is a Japanese musician and singer, best known as the lead vocalist of the popular rock band ONE OK ROCK. Born on April 17, 1988, in Tokyo, Japan, Taka grew up in a musical family; his father was a saxophonist, and his mother was a dancer. He started playing the piano at a very young age and later learned to play the guitar.
Taka attended a private school in Tokyo, where he met his future ONE OK ROCK bandmates, Toru Yamashita (guitar), Ryota Kohama (bass), and Tomoya Kanki (drums). The band formed in 2005, and Taka became the lead vocalist. They started playing gigs around Tokyo and quickly gained a following. They released their first single, "Naihi Shinsho," in 2007, which became a hit in Japan.
