This is the result of the Upper House election in Japan yesterday.

It says that “与党”(the Ruling Parties) got 144 seats and “野党”(the Opposition Parties) got 100 seats.

But it’s totally ‘Wrong’! Because “維新”(Ishin/the Innovation Party) is actually a part of the Ruling Party group. The Innovation Party has the almost same ideas with “自民”(Jimin/the Liberal Democratic Party) which is the very very conservative party in reality.

So, the real figures are as follows.

The Ruling Parties: 160 seats
The Opposition Parties: 84 seats.

Please note that 2/3 of the whole seats are 164.
