I have more than 120 Blu-rays right now. And more than 100 Blu-rays have Spanish dubbed versions in them.
Note: I have more than 200 DVDs which don’t have Spanish dubbed versions beforehand because they are the Japanese DVDs.
About 2/3 of the Spanish dubbed versions are Latin American Spanish/Español dubbed ones which are actually Mexican Spanish dubbed ones and about 1/3 of them are Spanish in Spain/Castellano dubbed ones. And the limited less than 10 Blu-rays have both Español and Castellano dubbed versions in them.
Now I can see more than 10 films not only in Español dubbed versions but also in Castellano dubbed versions because recently I bought a couple of films not only in US Blu-rays but also in UK Blu-rays.
And then I realized how different Español and Castellano are!
Actually they are much much more different from the differences between US English and UK English.
I’d like to say Español (Mexican Spanish) is a kind of ‘Speaking’ Spanish and Castellano (Spanish in Spain) is a kind of ‘Writing’ Spanish for me. Actually it’s only for me because Castellano is used as a Speaking language in Spain right now.
