“2001: A Space Odyssey” (IMAX version):
The quality of the pictures is not good. So the IMAX company ‘must’ update so-called IMAX digital screening system from 2K to 4K at least. If not I don’t want to pay extra money for it any more.
I was told that the aspect ratio of IMAX digital screening system was 1:1.90. But this time I was convinced that it must be 1:2.00 because I could see more blank spaces than I expected in the left and right sides when I saw trailers which were shown in the Vista Vision (1:1.85).
I strongly believe that “2001: A Space Odyssey” was shown in 1:2.10 but not in 1:2.20 which is the aspect ratio of 70mm films.
