Epilogue (エピローグ)

One day I was choosing the photos for CouchSurfing.
ある日、僕はカウチサーフィンに使う写真を選んでいました。

After I finished I found out that I chose only the photos in which I was smiling.
選び終わった後、あることに気づきました。笑顔の写真だけを選んでいることに。

And I was surprised that there were no "nice smile photos" in April and May.
そして驚いたのは、4月と5月には良い笑顔の写真がなかったこと。

It seems that I started to smile from my heart since June.
心から笑い始めたのは、6月からのようです。

We laughed a lot in Australia.
オーストラリアでは、よく笑った。

I laughed the most in my life here.
人生で一番笑った場所。

With happy people...
ハッピーな人たちと、

happy animals...
ハッピーな動物たちと、

happy farms...
ハッピーなファームと、

and the partner I love.
そして愛するパートナーと。

I want to keep smiling for the rest of my life.
この先も一生笑って過ごしたい。

Moruyaに戻ってきてからはレンタカーでぐるぐるまわって。

久しぶりの友人に再会したり。

２ヶ月ぶりにオレンジジュースを売っていたMoruyaマーケット行ったり。

海に行ったり。

















ミュージックフェスティバスに行ったり。

この親子見た目はイケイケだけど、とっても親切な人たちでした。




植物園行ったり。



そこでまたカンガルーに出会ったり。（子供付き）



オーストラリアのビール。

一晩分ではなくて、毎晩少しずつテイスティングしてみたり。



１０日間オーストラリアの都会と田舎。

ほとんどは田舎にいたけど、ゆうすけのおかあさんには新しいことばかりでビックリした部分もあったかもしれないけど、一緒に楽しい充実した時間過ごせました。

２人は長野への岐路の途中。

わたしはここのMoruyaにのこって、留守番しています。



















広大な土地に１人。

すこしさびしいですが、かわいい犬と、羊とロバ、牛も鳥もいて、のんびりと時間が流れています。




あっとういまの１年間。

また日本で、世界のどこかで会いましょう。

Welcome to Australia (ようこそオーストラリアへ)

So many people and lots of tall buildings.
目が眩むほど多い人々の群れと、青空にそびえたつ高層ビル。

We were getting tired of those things in Sydney when we finally found the oasis.
そんなシドニーに疲れを感じ始めたころ、小さなオアシスを見つけました。

It was the place where we found in Couchsurfing .
カウチサーフィン で出会った人のおうちに泊まりました。



It was just like a real jungle in a concrete jungle.
まさにコンクリートジャングルの中にあるジャングル。

We went walking on a lovely sunny day in the beggining of autumn.
降り注ぐ秋晴れの日差しのなかお散歩へ。



This is a very smart dog called Rani-san.
とても賢いラニさん。

We played with her...
ラニさんと遊び。



slept with her...
ラニさんと寝て。



nice and relaxed afternoon watching the movies that we wanted to watch.
見たかった映画を見る幸せな午後のひととき。



This is the host we spent the time together.
お世話になった家の主。

He is a gentleman and also a fantastic cook.
紳士で料理上手。

Thanks for having and spoiling us as much as 6 days...

We looked around Canberra together.
キャンベラ観光して。



And we made a Japanese dumpling called "Oyaki" which Sadako is good at and famous in Nagano.
お母さん手作り、長野名物「おやき」。

Well done, Sadako!! That was exactly the Oyaki we can eat in Nagano.
とっても美味しくできました。さすが本場もの。

This is our friend Jennie who has the Japanese hospitality, always caring and so kind.
日本人のような極め細やかなおもてなしで迎えてくれた友人。ジェニーとお母さん。

Canberra is the sister city of Nara, Japan.
奈良とキャンベラは姉妹都市です。










And yesterday...
そして、昨日。

We came back to Moruya where we spent 3 months before we headed for Tasmania.
タスマニアへ旅立つまえの３ヶ月を過ごした、家族のもとへ会うべくMoruyaの町に帰ってきました。

We met the host family and lots of friends we made here, which made us feel like home.
久しぶりに会う、家族、友人たち。　故郷に帰ってきたようなそんな安心感と嬉しい気持ち。

We went to see kangaroos today.
今日は、カンガルーに会いに行ってきました。



Everything is new to Yusuke's mom, like OZ culture, people, foods, and her favorite, beers!!
ゆうすけのお母さんも、オーストラリアの文化、人、食べ物、ビール!!

We're showing her a real Australia which you can never see in "package tours."
観光ツアーでは絶対に見れない、リアルオーストラリア。

She has been enjoying it so far.
とっても楽しんでいるようです。

Sydney!!

We finally came to Sydney!!
ついにシドニーにやって来ました！

The first host here is Joseph who we met through Couch Surfing.
最初のホストは、カウチサーフィンで知り合ったジョセフさん。

He kindly took us to many places. These photos are from the night drive to the City.
親切に僕らを色々なところに連れて行ってくれました。この写真は夜にシティへドライブに出かけたときのもの。

Next day at the Gap in South Head
次の日、サウスヘッドの「ギャップ」というところ

We caught a ferry to Manly.
マンリーというところまでフェリーで行きました。

Fish and Chips. How many times have we had this in AUS? I still love it though.
フィッシュアンドチップス。オーストラリアでもう何回食べただろうか・・・まだ大好物なわけですが。

The main purpose of coming to Sydney is to meet them, Deco and her daughter Anne. They have been friends with Nozomi since she WWOOFed in Japan. This Thai restaurant (Hut Thai Restaurant in Glebe) was soooo good.
僕らがシドニーに来た一番の目的は彼らに会うこと、デコさんとその娘さんのアンちゃん。Nozomiが日本でWWOOFしたときからの友達です。ここのタイ料理はかなり美味しかった。GlebeのHut Thai Restaurantというところです。

Next day we cooked lunch together. Deco is a WWOOF host as well as a famous cooking teacher.
次の日には一緒にランチを作りました。デコさんはWWOOFホストであるだけでなく、有名な料理の先生でもあります。

It was so nice to meet you guys and see you again in Japan!!
お会いできて本当に良かったです。また日本で会いましょう！

We are now in Pymble, Sydney at next Couch Surfing host's place.
現在はシドニーのピンブルというところで次のカウチサーフィンホストの家にお世話になっています。

Another New Friend (新しい友達)

We spent a week in Flowerdale, a lovely little place which is an hour from Devonport to the west.
デボンポートから1時間のところにある小さな村、フラワーデイルに一週間滞在しました。

This is our host, Lisa and Jeff. Lovely lovely people who love our country.
これが今回のホスト、リサとジェフ。日本好きの本当に素晴らしい人たちです。




Lisa is a friend of the lady Wendy, who we met in Moruya market and also loves Japan. She introduced Lisa to us. It was so lucky and we all appreciated this wonderful meeting.
リサはモルヤマーケットで出会ったウェンディの友達。ウェンディも日本好きで、リサを紹介してくれました。本当に僕らはラッキーです。この素敵な出会いに感謝。

They kindly took us many differnt places. Lisa said she was experimenting a tour guide with us. You were a great tour guide Lisa!!
色んなところに連れていってもらいました。リサは僕らを使って実験的にツアーガイドをしていると言っていました(笑) リサは素晴らしいツアーガイドでしたよ！

We had a hand-roll Sushi party because Lisa and Jeff love Japanese foods!!
リサとジェフは日本食好きなので、手巻き寿司パーティをしました。

On Sunday we went to the Cradle Mountain for hiking. We highly recommend this place. The view is just amazing!!
日曜日にはクレイドルマウンテンにハイキングに行きました。ここはオススメです、景色が本当にキレイ！

Our friend Omi stayed with us as well. He has now been challenging Overland Track for 10 days. Come back safely Omi!!
僕らの友達Omiも一緒にステイしました。彼は今、10日間のオーバーランドトラックに挑戦しています。安全に帰って来いよ、Omi！

We weeded her garden for the appreciation of this stay and all the kindness.
今回のステイへの感謝ということで、畑の雑草取りをさせてもらいました。




Thank you so much Lisa and Jeff for realizing this wonderful stay!! We definitely will come back and tell me when you come to Japan!!
リサとジェフ、今回のステイを実現してくれて本当にありがとう。また帰って来ます！日本に来るときは教えてね！
